Why does this app require access to my camera and microphone?

The microphone access is related to the core focus of the game. First Words utilizes machine learning (ML) to assess your child’s progress. Without collecting any of your data, it listens to your child as they speak and engages with the app. Machine Learning allows the app to understand if your kiddo is enunciating correctly and helps First Words pace the activities according to your child’s developmental level.

The app uses your camera for your kid to see themselves while practicing in certain exercises, helping them better imitate their peers and participate in interactive exercises.
